Last rays of summer

While the summer slowly cools down and promises an onset of autumn, our stylists have found their inspiration in Kobe’s Summer collection.  Featured in this look is the room-high Callisto from Kobe’s brand new Summer 2018 collection in terra tones, which remains a strong color trend for summer and autumn. Combined in this room with warmer colour tones of brown and burnt orange and cooler tones of grey and crème, this look has a perfect balance of warm and cool.

The originally classic styled elements like the door, the fireplace and styled ceiling are balanced out with modern accessories and furniture. The black on the window frames, fire place and the ceiling lamp also adds a modern touch to the look.

Styling Tips:

While choosing seasonal colour trends for your interior, keep in mind to go for a long lasting combination that stays timeless.

Botanical patterns are very in, especially large leafy patterns. Go for room-high all over patterns that drape the window in a seamless and understated way. Hang the curtains on rings or wave track system to give a modern clean look to the drape.

Oriental and vintage carpets are back in fashion. A worn look (or your own old rug) will fit perfectly in this look.

Warm and rustic looking wooden floor go very well with this look. Real wood or wood look alternatives – the choices are many.

With smaller rooms (like this one), it is important to keep the accessories to minimum to not end up with a cluttered look. Maximize the height of the room by draping the curtains from ceiling to floor and make sure your choose the right sized furniture that doesn’t make the room feel small. Using a cooler color like grey on the sofa gives an open feeling to this room.

Mixing styles and creating your own unique combination is great. Go for the elements that speak to you and add a dimension to the look you are going for.
