Spring is in the air

Spring brings new life, new energy and it is also the time of the year to put away the winter necessities. As spring slowly arrives and we look forward to new leaves and colourful blossoms springing around us, our stylists found inspiration in our own Scala, with 200 colours. With its colourful palette Scala has remained an inspiration for interior enthusiasts for more than 40 years.

Colour Palette

Multi-coloured tones that capture the versatility of Scala and fresh Spring feeling are what we’re focusing on. A palette of warm colours is combined with chalky pastels to create a matte effect, captivated by the soft-pile cotton velvet fabric of Scala.

Styling Tips:

Velvets make for great curtains. They are versatile and can be used in a variety of interior styles. They also have good acoustics values.

We recommend to drape Scala with the pile up. When used for upholstery, we recommend to use velvets with pile direction downwards.

Decide whether you want a monochromatic, complementary and matching or contrasting colour flow. Or, are you looking to add a pop of colour on a neutral palette?

Nothing is as personal as colours. Stay true to your own identity while picking colours. Go with something that speaks to you.

Check the colour of  paint swatches, samples of curtains, carpets, tiles in the lighting of your home. The colour ambiance may vary with lighting sources.

Make combinations with light and dark colours to create depth and contrasts in balance. Adding an accent to neutral colours or balancing the colour palette with neutral are both advised.

Looking for an inspiring solid colour palette for upholstery? Use Volterra, a matt velvet with 54 colours or Real, a soil and stain resistant matt velvet with 64 colours.

You can also choose a colour theme from the largest pattern in your interior scheme. For e.g. If you have a large piece of artwork that you want to theme the interior around, pick colours from the details and mix and match.

Another way to create a good colour palette is to start with the materials and furniture you already have. Start with the items that have the least choices in colours ending with the wall as the last project.
